What I am most struck by in these chapters are the behaviors of Sarah and Rebekah... First, Sarah laughing in disbelief when God told her she would have a child at such an advanced age (Genesis 18:15)... and God called her on it. I am probably guilty of laughing at God's plan sometimes too; sometimes it seems too ironic or far-fetched to possibly come true. But He can do anything (Genesis 18:14)
Also, Rebekah covering her face with the veil... Is she happy? Is she in love with Isaac, or is she just being obedient?
