Leviticus

Today I read the entire book of Leviticus, start to finish.

The third book of the Bible, it includes a very graphic, clear-cut set of instructions for God's people... Accordingly, I thought I would take a very graphic and clear-cut approach to this week's images: instead of starting with a photograph, I am starting with a stark white canvas and leaving plenty of room for the black and white, clear-cut, Godly instructions to shine through.

* If you know me well, you will know that Leviticus 11:20-23 was exceptionally interesting to me. My Bible's (CEV) translation says: "The only winged insects you may eat are locusts, grasshoppers, and crickets. All other winged insects that crawl are too disgusting for you to eat." Is it possible to laugh and cringe at the same time?
* Another verse that made me laugh today: Leviticus 13:45. For any school or Sunday school teacher who is as slightly germophobic as me, it's a really funny image of what life would be like if people actually obeyed this commandment.
